Determine the measure of unknown side by using the pythagoras theorem.


\begin{gathered} a^2+(10)^2=(18)^2 \\ a^2=324-100 \\ a=\sqrt[]{224} \\ =\sqrt[]{14\cdot4\cdot4} \\ =4\sqrt[]{14} \end{gathered}

So length of missing side is,


4\sqrt[]{14}\text{ cm}
