Answer:
Kudzu is well known to be native to China, Taiwan, Japan, and India. It first arrived in the United States in 1876 at the Japanese exhibition of the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition. But this plant was destroyed by the law after the exposition. Later on, in the year 1883, it was displayed again in the New Orleans exposition. During the late Nineteenth century, Kudzu gained prominence and its seeds were being imported. Kudzu was used as an ornamental plant. Later on, this plant was used for soil erosion control. But its fast-growing characteristics became a problem as it turned out to be invasive.
