Molarity (mol/L) is the ratio between the amount of substance in the solute (n) and the volume of the solution in liters (V).

So the formula is:

M = n/V

we have:

n = 10.0 moles

V = 5.0 liters

M = 10.0/5.0

M = 2.0 mol/L

Answer: M = 2.0 mol/L
