8, 15, 9, 16, 7

The number of data is 5.

Recall that the formula for mean is


\text{Mean}=\frac{The\text{ sum of the data}}{\text{The number of the data}}
\text{Mean}=(8+15+9+16+7)/(5)


\text{Mean}=(55)/(5)=11

Hence the mean=11.
