Polygon 927Z with G. 4) X4-8), Y (0,4), and Z (12,-2), is dilated by a scale factor of 2. What are the new coordinates? Is this a reduction or enlargement?

We have the next points

W(2,4)

X(-4,-8)

Y(0,4)

Z(12,-2)

dilatation by a scale factor of 2 means that we will multiply each coordinate by 2

W'=(2(2),4(2))=(4,8)

X'=(-4(2),-8(2))=(-8,-16)

Y'=(0(2),4(2))=(0,8)

Z'=(12(2),-2(2))=(24,-4)

the new points are

W'=(4,8)

X'=(-8,-16)

Y'=(0,8)

Z'=(24,-4)

as we can see it is an enlargement
