Let x = number of weeks

Initial cost = $85

Cost per week = $18

Final cost = $155

An inequality that represents this situation is:

85+18x=155

Then solve for x:

\begin{gathered} 85+18x-85=155-85 \\ 18x=70 \\ (18x)/(18)=(70)/(18) \\ x=3.88\approx4 \end{gathered}

Answer: he needs to save 4 weeks to buy the skis
