In order to determine the number of doll hats Grandma can make, just calculate the quotient in between 10 yards over 5/8 yard per doll hat:

10/(5/8) = (10/1)(5/8) = 80/5 = 16

Hence, the number of doll hats Grandma can make with 10 yards of lace is 16 doll hats
