The probability of the complement is the probability that an desired event won't happen. In this case the event is rolling a number less than 5, therefore there are 4 desired outcomes. The probability of this event happening is:

P(A)\text{ = }(4)/(6)

Its complement is:

\begin{gathered} P(A^(\prime))\text{ = 1 - P(A)} \\ P(A^(\prime))\text{ = 1 - }(4)/(6)\text{ = }(2)/(6) \end{gathered}

Therefore the probability of the complement of rolling a number less than 5 is 2
