if the outleir was removed from the data set 22 32 40 41 57 62 68 752 would the mean increase or decrease

First, we will calculate the mean with the outlier


\operatorname{mean}=(22+32+40+41+57+62+68+752)/(8)=134.25

then the mean without the outlier


\operatorname{mean}=(22+32+40+41+57+62+68)/(7)=46

As we can see the mean will decrease if the outlier was removed from the data set
