Let's convert 4 2/5 to deciimal, this way:

4 2/5 = 4 + 2/5, therefore:

We have 4 as an integer and 2/5 as a fraction.

Let's convert 2/5 to decimal and afterwards, we can add 4 to the result.

2/5 = 0.4

0.4 + 4 = 4.4

4 2/5 = 4.4
