In order to construct the line in the form y=mx+b, we need to find the slope of the line using the two points given and the following formula

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

then,

\begin{gathered} m=(-3-5)/(2-(-2)) \\ m=(-8)/(4) \\ m=-2 \end{gathered}

then, using the general structure find the y-intercept with one of the points

\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ using\text{ }(2,-3) \\ -3=(-2)(2)+b \\ -3=-4+b \\ -3+4=b \\ 1=b \end{gathered}

Answer:

The equation of the line is:

y=-2x+1
