We will have the following:

*First: We will solve the function for either x or y:


\Rightarrow x-32+y+72=64\Rightarrow x+40+y=64
\Rightarrow x+y=24\Rightarrow y=-x+24

*Second: We can see that the equation results in a linear equation.

Using the y-intercept we can deduce that the origin of the source is 24 units to the "north" of the axis.

And using the x-intercept we can dedude that the apparent range is also 24 units.
