Solution

There are 273 + 101 = 374 people total.

Out of those 374, there are 273 who said "yes" to running a red light.

So the probability is approximately 273/374


\begin{gathered} Pr(runs\text{ a red light\rparen = }(273)/(374)=0.7299 \\ \approx0.730\text{ \lparen3d.p\rparen} \end{gathered}

Hence the probability that they have run a red light in the last year is approximately = 0.730
