Lines or points, are said to be coplanar when they line in the same plane.

Given the figure below:

Points A, B, C are coplanar points because they lie in one plane(plane x).

While noncoplanar points or lines do not lie in the same plane.

Given the figure below:

The points, A, B, C are noncoplanar because they do not lie in the same plane.
