A semicircle is half a full circle

The area of a circle is given by

A=piXr^2

The area of a semicircle will be given by

A_{semicircle\text{ }}=(\pi r^2)/(2)

pi = 3.142, r =3

A\text{ =}\frac{3.14\text{ x 3 x3}}{2}

A = 14.13 square ft

A = 14.1 square feet (To the nearest tenth)
