Trait is important in an adaptation species because it allows a species chance of survival than it did before it adapted.
hope this helps :)

Answer:

it is important

Step-by-step explanation:

this is because in the process of adaptation in a species the traits that are being altered/adapted to suit their environment need to be passed down or the species will not survive.

For example, in the Galapagos Islands there are many species of finch across the islands and their beaks are adapted to the food stuffs available in their habitat. Some have smaller, sharper beaks for worms and others have wider, bigger beaks to crack nuts to eat. if they didn't have this trait, they would not survive.
