area1=(4ft)(4ft)=16 ft^2

For the two drop leaves:

area2=(pi)(radius)^2=(3,14)(2)=6,28 ft^2, note that the radius is equal to 2 because the diameter in 4ft.

then the answer is:

area of the table without the drop leaves= 16 ft^2

area of the table with the drop leaves=16 + 6,28=22,28 ft^2
