The distance between the points is gotten using the formula;


\begin{gathered} d=√((x_1-x_2)^2+(y_1-y_2)^2) \\ where: \\ x_1=3,y_1=4 \\ x_2=2,y_2=1 \end{gathered}

Hence,


\begin{gathered} d=√((3-2)^2+(4-1)^2) \\ d=√(1^2+3^2) \\ d=√(1+9) \\ d=√(10)\text{ }units \end{gathered}

Therefore, the distance between (3,4) and (2,1) is;


√(10)\text{ units}
