To determine the slope of a line, we have to remember that it is given by:


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

In this case, we have that:


\begin{gathered} Y(-7,-4)=(x_1,y_1) \\ Z(5,2)=(x_2,y_2) \end{gathered}

So, plugging our values in the equation of the slope, we have:


\begin{gathered} m=(2-(-4))/(5-(-7)) \\ =(2+4)/(5+7) \\ =(6)/(12) \\ =(1)/(2) \end{gathered}

Therefor the slope of the line is


m=(1)/(2)
