The formula for the equation of a line is,


y=mx+b

From the question, we are to multiply the value of x by 3.

Therefore,


m=3

Which will then give us,


y=3x

And finally, we are to subtract 6 from the result to get the value of y

Therefore,


b=-6

Which will become,


y=3x-6

Hence, the equation in terms of x and y is


y=3x-6

Therefore, the graph of the function is
