You have the following equation:

3/2(4x - 2) -3x = 5 - x + 2

In order to solve the previous equation you proceed as follow:

3/2(4x - 2) -3x = 5 - x + 2 "multiply by 2 both sides to cancel the denominato 2"

3(4x - 2) - 2(3) = 2(5) - 2(x) + 2(2)

3(4x - 2) - 6 = 10 - 2x + 4
