We have to solve this equation.

This equation has a real part and an imaginary part.

We then can write an equation for the real part and another for the imaginary part:

\begin{cases}7x=√(5){} \\ -9i={9yi}\end{cases}

We can solve this as:

\begin{gathered} 7x=√(5) \\ x=(√(5))/(7) \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} -9i=9yi \\ (-9i)/(9i)=y \\ y=-1 \end{gathered}

Answer: x = √5/7 and y = -1
