Area of the figure = 161.04 m² (option A)

Step-by-step explanation:

To get the area of the figure, we would divive it into shapes we can find the area.

The figure is made up of two semi circles and 1 rectangle.

Area of semi circles = πr²/2

diameter = 12 m

diameter = 2(radius)

radius = diameter/2 = 12/2

radius = 6 m

let π = 3.14

Area of 1st semi circle = (3.14 × 6²)/2 = 56.52 m²

Since the diameter of the first semi cirlce is the same as the 2nd semi circle, the area will be the same.

Area of 2nd semi circle = (3.14 × 6²)/2 = 56.52 m²

Area of the rectangle = length × width

length =12m, width = 4m

Area of the rectangle = 12m × 4m = 48 m²

Area of the figure = Area of the 1st semi circle + Area of the 2nd semi circle + Area of the rectangle

Area of the figure = 56.52 + 56.52 + 48 m²

Area of the figure = 161.04 m² (option A)
