Here's my Question... When a rate is simplified to a denominator of 1, it is called unit rate. if your heart beats 150 beats in 2 minutes, what's the unit rate?

The given rate is


(150)/(2)

But that's not a unit rate. To get the unit rate you have to simplify the fraction to get 1 in the denominator. To do this you have to divide both numerator and denominator by 2:

So the unit rate is 75 beats/minute
