We have to find the equation of the line in the graph.

We know two points of the line: (-2,5) and (6,3).

With them we can calculate the slope m as:

\begin{gathered} m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ \\ m=(3-5)/(6-(-2))=-(2)/(8)=-(1)/(4)=-0.25 \end{gathered}

We can use any of the points and the slope to write the equation in slope-point form and then rearrange as:

\begin{gathered} y-y_0=m(x-x_0) \\ y-3=-0.25(x-6) \\ y-3=-0.25x+1.5 \\ y=-0.25x+1.5+3 \\ y=-0.25x+4.5 \end{gathered}

Answer: the equation of the line is y = -0.25x + 4.5
