Given the line 12x - 2y = 24

At first, make the line on the form of slope intercept form

So,

12x - 2y = 24

-2y = -12x + 24

Divide all terms by -2

y = 6x - 12

So, it will be similar to the general form y = mx + b

Where m is the slope and b is y-intercept

so, the slope = m = 6

So, the slope of the line perpendicular to the given line will be -1/6

Because the product of the slopes of the perpendicular line = -1

So, the answer is
