The equation of a line passing throughtwo points ( a,b) and (c,d) is given by:-

y-b=(d-b)/(c-a)(x-a)

Now the given line passes through the points (-6,4) and (2,0) so the equation of the line will be:-

\begin{gathered} y-4-(0-4)/(2--(-6))(x-(-6)) \\ y-4=(-4)/(2+6)(x+6) \\ y-4=(-1)/(2)(x+6) \end{gathered}

So the correct answer is :-

y-4=(-1)/(2)(x+6)
