Solution:

To find the area, A, of a sector, the formula is

A=(\theta)/(360\degree)*\pi r^2

Given that;

\begin{gathered} r=2.5\text{ feet} \\ \theta=315\degree \end{gathered}

Substitute the values of the variables into the formula above

\begin{gathered} A=(315\degree)/(360\degree)*\pi*2.5^2 \\ A=17.18\text{ }ft^2\text{ \lparen two decimal places\rparen} \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is 17.18 ft² (two decimal places)
