To find if the ordered pair is a solution replace the values for x and y on the equations and check if the equations are true.

For (0,-4)

\begin{gathered} x+y=-4 \\ 0+(-4)=-4 \\ -4=-4 \\ x-5y=20 \\ 0-5(-4)=20 \\ 20=20 \end{gathered}

The first ordered pair is a solution for the system.

For (4,-1)

\begin{gathered} x=4y+8 \\ 4=4(-1)+8 \\ 4=-4+8 \\ 4=4 \\ -3x+5y=-3 \\ -3(4)+5(-1)=-3 \\ -12-5=-3 \\ -17\\e-3 \end{gathered}

The second ordered pair is not a solution for the system.
