To find percentage change, the formula is

Percentage\text{ change}=\frac{New\text{ value-Old value}}{Old\text{ value}}*100\text{\%}

From 33 to 34,

Old value = 33

New value = 34,

Substitute the values into the percentage change formula

\begin{gathered} Percentage\text{ change}=\frac{New\text{ value-Old value}}{Old\text{ value}}*100\text{\%} \\ Percentage\text{ change}=(34-33)/(33)*100\text{\%}=(1)/(33)*100\text{\%} \\ Percentage\text{ change}=3.0303\text{\%} \\ Percentage\text{ change}=3.0\text{\% (nearest tenth)} \end{gathered}

Hence, the percentage change from 33 to 34 is 3.0% increase (nearest tenth)
