The surface area (A) and volume (V) for a sphere are given by:

\begin{gathered} A=4\pi r^2 \\ \\ V=(4)/(3)\pi r^3 \end{gathered}

Where r stands for the radius, and π is the math constant.

The radius is half of the diameter, given by the problem as 18 cm. It is:

r = 9 cm.

Assuming π = 3.14, we just need to substitute the values.

\begin{gathered} A=4*(3.14)*(9)^2=1,017.36cm^2 \\ V=(4)/(3)*(3.14)*(9)^3=3,052.08cm^3 \end{gathered}
