Explanation:

The first thing to do is calculate the volume of each half-inch block. We calculate this volume by means of the following formula:


\begin{gathered} V_b=((1)/(2))^3 \\ V_b=0.125in^3 \end{gathered}

Then we multiply this volume by the number of blocks there are, just like this:


\begin{gathered} V=100\cdot0.125 \\ V=12.5 \end{gathered}

The volume of the prism would be 12.5 cubic inches.
