Thew y-intercept is the point where the line crosses the y-axis.

At this point the coordinate x is equal to zero.

To determine the y-coordinate of the y-intercept replace x=0 in the equation of the line


\begin{gathered} y=-3x+7 \\ x=0 \\ y=-3\cdot0+7 \\ y=7 \end{gathered}

The coordinate point of the y-intercept is (0,7)
