3x - 5y = 4

-2x+ 3y= 2

Multiply the first equation by 2, and the second equation by 3.

Then add both to eliminate the x variable:

6x - 10y = 8

+

-6x + 9y= 6

__________

-y = 14

y= -14

Replace y=-14 on any equation and solve for x

3x- 5(-14) = 4

3x +70 = 4

3x = 4-70

3x = -66

x= -66/3

x= -22

Solution = (-22, -14 )
