First we need to determine the total number of cards

There are 4 suits with 13 cards each

4*13 = 52 cards in the deck

There are 13 diamonds ( 13 cards in 1 suit)

P( diamond) = number of diamonds/ total number of cards

=13/52

Simplifying

=1/4
