Step 1

State the associative property of multiplication.

(a* b)* c=a*(b* c)

where

\begin{gathered} a=(1)/(3) \\ b=24 \\ c=x \end{gathered}

Step 2

Use the property and simplify the expression

((1)/(3)*24)* x=(1)/(3)*(24\text{ }* x)
\begin{gathered} ((24)/(3))* x=(1)/(3)*(24x) \\ 8x=(24x)/(3) \\ 8x=8x \end{gathered}

Hence the simplified form of the expression using the stated property = 8x
