Given:

g\mleft(x\mright)=(x-5)/(2)

a) To find g(9):

\begin{gathered} g(9)=(9-5)/(2) \\ =(4)/(2) \\ =2 \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is, g(9)=2.

b) To find g(0):

\begin{gathered} g(9)=(0-5)/(2) \\ =(-5)/(2) \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is,

g(0)==(-5)/(2)

c) To find g(3):

\begin{gathered} g(3)=(3-5)/(2) \\ =(-2)/(2) \\ =-1 \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is, g(3)=-1.

d) To find g(17):

\begin{gathered} g(9)=(17-5)/(2) \\ =(12)/(2) \\ =6 \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is, g(17)=6.
