===================================================

The formula to find the distance between two points ( x1 , y1 ) and ( x2 , y2) is:

d=\sqrt[]{(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2}

we need to find the distance between C and D

first, find the coordinates of the points

The coordinates of the point C = ( 3 , 6 )

the coordinates of the point D = ( 6 , 9 )

then use the formula of the distance:

d_(CD)=\sqrt[]{(6-3)^2+(9-6)^2}=\sqrt[]{3^2+3^2}=\sqrt[]{9+9}=\sqrt[]{18}=4.2426

so, the distance between C and D to the nearest tenth = 4.2

Is the answer clear ?
