1) The area of a trapezoid can be calculated by using this formula:


A=((B+b)h)/(2)

2) So now, let's plug into the formula the given data. Notice that B refers to the largest base as well as b to the smallest one.


\begin{gathered} A=((32+24)50)/(2) \\ A=((56)50)/(2) \\ A=(2800)/(2) \\ A=1400\:cm^2 \end{gathered}

Note that area measurements require squared units.
