The equation for the line of symmetry goes thus:

x=(-b)/(2a)

where a = coefficient of x^2 = 1

b = coefficient of x = -12

x=\frac{-(-12)_{}}{2*1}=\text{ }(12)/(2)=6

Thus the equation is x = 6
