Solution

For this case the general equation for a line is given by:

y= mx+b

From the info given we know that m= -8/7 represent the slope. Now we can use the point x=4, y=4 in order to find the intercept on this way:

4= -8/7 (4) +b

And solving for b we got:

4 +40/7= b

b= 68/7
