let assume a number x

According to question Twice a number is more than the sum of that number and 14

So we can write it as:


2x>x+14

Solving the above ineqaulity:


\begin{gathered} 2x>x+14 \\ 2x-x>x-x+14 \\ x>14 \end{gathered}

So the number should be greater than 14.
