The distributive property is:

a(b+c)=ab+ac

We can use this property to distribute the left hand side:

\begin{gathered} 9\mleft(x+3\mright)=27 \\ 9(x)+9(3)=27 \\ 9x+27=27 \end{gathered}

Now, we just use algebra to solve for x:

\begin{gathered} 9x=27-27 \\ 9x=0 \\ x=0 \end{gathered}

The value of x is 0
