1) Kevin baked 24 cookies with 3 scoops of flour. With 14 scoops of flour, how many cookies can Kevin bake? Solve using unit rates.

To answer this question let's use a rule of three:


\begin{gathered} 3\text{ scoops}\rightarrow24\text{ cookies} \\ 14\text{ scoops}\rightarrow x\text{ cookies} \end{gathered}

then we have:


\begin{gathered} x=\frac{(14\text{ scoops\rparen\lparen}24\text{ cookies\rparen}}{3\text{ scoops}} \\ x=112\text{ cookies} \end{gathered}

Therefore, Kevin can bake 112 cookies with 14 scoops of flour.
