f(x) = x - 1 /(x^2 + 5x - 14

- Factor the denominator

x^2 + 5x - 14 = (x + 7)(x - 2)

- Find the solutions

x + 7 = 0 x - 2 = 0

x = - 7 x = 2

Domain = Real numbers - {-7, 2}
