The probability of picking two yellow marbles 'with replacement' is 1/36

Here, we want to find the probability of picking 2 yellow marbles

We start by adding the number of marbles

We have this as; 1 + 2 + 4 + 5 = 12

The probability of selecting a yellow marble is the number of yellow marbles divided by the total number of marbles

We have this as; 2/12 = 1/6

The term 'and' means we select a yellow marble and another yellow marble

So what we have to do here is to multiply the two;

So we have this as 1/6 * 1/6 = 1/36
