The line is JK, and the midpoint is M.

The value of Jk is 48.

MK is (5x+5).

We can write in this way,

\begin{gathered} \text{The length of the MK and JM will be same, because M is the mid point of Length JK.} \\ So, \\ MK+JM=JK \\ 5x+5+5x+5=48 \\ 10x+10=48 \\ 10x=38 \\ x=3.8 \\ \end{gathered}
