That is,


F=ma

On rearranging,


(F)/(m)=a

From the above equation, it is clear that the mass of an object is inversely proportional to the acceleration of the object. That is, for an applied force, the acceleration will be greater if the mass of the object is less.

Thus the ligher objects are more easily moved by an applied force.
