When five consecutive integers are multiplied, their product is –720. Which is the least of the five integers?

The values you need to multiply in order to get -720 are:


(-2)\cdot(-3)\cdot(-4)\cdot(-5)\cdot(-6)=\text{ -720}

Now, the smallest number that is needed in order to get -720 is -6, that since -6 is "more negative" (Is located more to the left) than any others. For example -1 is smaller than 0, and -2 is smaller than -1, therefore the further to the left the number, the smallest it will be.
