The number of sectors of the spinner needed to be shaded blue is 8

Firstly, we need to know the number of total sectors

We have this as 12 sectors

Now, for us to calculate the probability of a blue sector, we have to divide the number of blue sectors by the total number of sectors

Thus, we have;

\begin{gathered} (b)/(12)\text{ = }(2)/(3) \\ 3* b\text{ = 12}*2 \\ b\text{ = }(24)/(3) \\ b\text{ = 8} \end{gathered}

The number of sectors of the spinner needed to be shaded blue is 8
